About the competition 
We invite all start ups and scaleups that are attending The Tech Arena to participate in our Pitch40 competition. Among all applications 40 companies will be selected by a Selection Committee to pitch at The Tech Arena Pitch Stage on February the 22nd 2024. Six finalists will move on to pitch on February the 23rd on The Tech Arena Main Stage and compete for the title Tech Arena Pitch40 Champion.

Exposure & Prizes

The 40 selected companies will be invited to pitch on stage in front of thousands of investors, executives and decision makers. 

The winner of The Tech Arena Pitch40 competition will:

  • Get exposure in The Techa Arena’s, and our partners, channels
  • Meet with investors
  • Get to participate in Techarenan Challenge in Almedalen 2024
  • Get a spot in the Winner Delegation Trip which will go to Toronto and Montreal during 2024

The Tech Arena 2024 / Pitch40

Format and application

40 companies will be selected by the Selection Committee to participate live February 22-23, 2024. These 40 companies will need to submit their presentation, if they want to use one, ahead of the live competition to the Competition Committee, in PDF, Keynote or Powerpoint format. No other formats or late submissions will be allowed.

During February 22nd all 40 companies will pitch for 3 minutes with a hard cut-off, followed by 3 minutes of questions from the jury.
The jury will select 6 of these companies to move on to the Final of the competition on February 23rd, where they will pitch for 4 minutes followed by 4 minutes for questions from the jury.

The jury will select a winner that will be announced on the Main Stage.

The competition is open to all entrepreneur-led startup companies that have purchased a ticket to The Tech Arena event. Applications should be submitted on The Tech Arena’s webpage no later than January 12, 2024.

The 40 companies who are selected to participate in The Tech Arena Pitch40 competition during February 22-23 will be notified and announced in Techarenans channels no later than January 31, 2024.

The jury assesses the companies and their business idea based on:

  • Scalability
  • Uniqueness
  • Sustainability
  • Market potential
  • Global applicability
  • Team skills/competency

By participating, you and the company (i) agree to The Tech Arena Pitch40 terms and conditions for participation and (ii) confirm that the information you submit is truthful. You must ensure that you or the company owns and have produced all submitted photographs, text, and other material. All entries must be received no later than January 12, 2024.

Competition managers (and external experts, if necessary) review your application. All materials that you submit in connection with the competition will be treated as public information. If there are specific reasons why certain information must remain confidential during the initial selection process, then you are responsible for notifying the competition managers in the submission form field that asks for additional information.

On-site spectators will be following the finals. Competition management reserves the right (if deemed appropriate) to indefinitely use parts of the pitches and footage from the pitches for communication and marketing purposes.

Competition management reserves the right to terminate or modify The Tech Arena Pitch40 Competition without prior notification.

The jury’s decision in all the Tech Arena Pitch40 Competition phases is final and cannot be appealed.

Competition management cannot be held liable for any losses or damages suffered by competing companies, as a consequence of participation in The Tech Arena Pitch40 Competition.

By participating in The Tech Arena Pitch40 Competition, you agree that competition management may:

  • Publish and display your footage for communication and marketing purposes before, during, and after the competition, where and when appropriate.
  • Use images, text, and materials that you share and that is generated during the competition for communication and marketing purposes, for an unlimited period without remuneration.
  • Share your contact details to with partners of the Competition.
