How to travel from the airport to the center of the city

If you travel with Arlanda, you have three options to get from the airport to the city (Stockholm Central Station): 

Arlanda Express.
The platform is located under the arrival terminals. Travel time: around 18 minutes. You can enjoy Free WiFi on all trains. The trains depart every 10 minutes.

Flygbussarna Airport Coaches.
The buses depart every 10-15 minutes. Travel time: around 35-45 minutes.

Commuter trains
(operated by the public transport company in Stockholm, SL). Depart twice an hour. Travel time: between 40-45 minutes.

Arena to the City Center

You have several ways to get to the center of the city from Friends Arena: taxi, bus, and train.

The most popular is commuter train from T-Centralen or the combination of Bus 505 via Solna Centrum and then Tunnelbana 11 via Kungsträdgården till T-Centralen.

You have access to buses and trains through the public transport company in Stockholm, SL.

The Westfield Mall of Scandinavia provides 3,700 parking spaces in its parking lot, but it tends to fill up rapidly during busy mall hours and event days.

Hotels to stay in during the event next to Friends Arena
There are several hotels you can book while you attend the event. Here are some near Friends Arena. These are the nearest hotels:

The venue has one Entrance (A). All floors can be accessed by lift and stairs and have easy access to the toilet. Also, the restaurants at Friends Arena provide easy access.

• Disabled persons with their own car 

Disabled parking spaces are available in the Westfield Mall of Scandinavia garage and the Arena garage. Please note that these can get crowded when there are many people in the Mall and during event days.

• Assistants and interpreters

An assistant accompanying an attendee has free admission. Upon your arrival, please refer to the Ticket Help Desk with your assistant at the entrance lobby of The Tech Arena Main Venue for further guidance. The assistant policy also applies to interpreters.

Please note: The event includes flashing lights that could affect individuals with photosensitive epilepsy or other light-sensitive conditions.

There are three cloakrooms (on the right side of the arena) located in the same area where the event is taking place.

You will have access to all the food and drinking installations located in the Arena.

Note that you cannot bring alcoholic beverages to the bleachers or stairs.

• North Bar: with burger offers, pizzas, and french fries.
• West Lounge: with a three-course menu and table service.
• East Lounge: with a simpler food concept in buffet form.
• Premium Lodge: The most exclusive experience where you sit in your own room where food and drinks are served.

Purchases of food and beverages can be made by card (not cash)

Taking pictures and videos at The Tech Arena with a mobile device and sharing them online is completely allowed.

Professional filming equipment inside the venue is prohibited. Only Accredited Press are allowed to use professional equipment.

In Friends Arena stadium, you should feel safe during the event. In Sweden, the organizer of an event is responsible for the safety of the public. But with its strong experience in large events and leading position as a stadium operator in Sweden, the responsible authorities and the stadium management cooperate very closely with all organizers to create safe events.

• Security Check

CONTROLS AT THE ENTRANCES (ARRIVE EARLY)

To enter Friends Arena, you must pass through alarm arches, portable metal detectors or manual checks. Please arrive on time and always follow current advice and instructions for the event. 

• First Aid

In case you need first aid or experience any distress or inappropriate behaviour, you can address our security personnel or go to any of the volunteers at the event and they will help you go to the correct place.

Our security personnel are trained in basic first aid and can contact first responders in case of a more severe emergency.

• How to contact security

During the events, you will meet many of Friends Arena´s hosts or hostesses and Techarenan volunteers in the venue. If you see something out of the ordinary or need help, tell the staff what happened, and they will help you raise the alarm.

• Weapons of any kind, firearms, or any illegal items
• Glass bottles or deposit bottles (you can bring your own plastic bottle for refilling)
• Professional filming equipment if you are not accredited Media.

• Aerosol sprays (paint, deodorant, hairspray, etc.)
