We invite all startups and scaleups attending The Tech Arena to participate in our
Pitch40 competition.

Format and application
Details
On February 22nd, the selected top 40 companies will pitch live at the Pitch Stage for 3 minutes with a hard cut-off, followed by 3 minutes of questions from the jury.
The jury will select 4 companies which move on to the Pitch40 finals on February 23rd, where they will pitch at the Arena Stage for 4 minutes, followed by 4 minutes for questions from the jury.
The jury will crown a winner The Tech Arena Pitch40 Champion.
The winner will receive:
- Exposure in The Tech Arena’s and our partner’s channels.
- Meetings with international investors.
- A spot in Techarenan Challenge in Almedalen 2024.
- A spot in the Winner Delegation trip to Toronto and Montreal in 2024.
Applicants that are not selected for the Top 40 are still eligible to win a free booth. Companies selected for a free booth will be notified at the latest February 10th. Applicants who are selected and already purchased a Startup Booth will receive a refund.
Companies are able to apply before purchasing a ticket. However, to be eligible for the competition at Friends Arena applicants will need to have purchased a Startup Pass before January 31st using the same email address as in the application.
Application
The competition is open to all entrepreneur-led startup companies that have purchased tickets to The Tech Arena 2024. Applications should be submitted on The Tech Arena’s webpage at the latest on January 31st, 2024.
The 40 companies selected to participate in The Tech Arena Pitch40 competition will be notified and announced in Techarenans channels.
Evaluation
The jury assesses the companies and their business idea based on:
- Scalability
- Uniqueness
- Sustainability
- Market potential
- Global applicability
- Team skills/competency
Rules & Terms
By participating, you and the company (i) agree to The Tech Arena Pitch40 terms and conditions for participation and (ii) confirm that the information you submit is truthful. You must ensure that you or the company owns and has produced all submitted photographs, text, and other material. All entries must be received no later than the end of January, 2024.
Competition managers (and external experts, if necessary) review your application. All materials that you submit in connection with the competition will be treated as public information. If there are specific reasons why certain information must remain confidential during the initial selection process, then you are responsible for notifying the competition managers in the submission form field that asks for additional information.
On-site spectators will be following the finals. Competition management reserves the right (if deemed appropriate) to indefinitely use parts of the pitches and footage from the pitches for communication and marketing purposes.
Competition management reserves the right to terminate or modify The Tech Arena Pitch40 Competition without prior notification.
The jury’s decision in all the Tech Arena Pitch40 Competition phases is final and cannot be appealed.
Competition management cannot be held liable for any losses or damages suffered by competing companies, as a consequence of participation in The Tech Arena Pitch40 Competition.
Usage rights
By participating in The Tech Arena Pitch40 Competition, you agree that competition management may:
- Publish and display your footage for communication and marketing purposes before, during, and after the competition, where and when appropriate.
- Use images, text, and materials that you share and that are generated during the competition for communication and marketing purposes, for an unlimited period without remuneration.
- Share your contact details with partners of the Competition.
